Helsinki Transport - You will find that getting around the Helsinki area is relatively simple. After you arrive at the airport there are numerous ways that you can reach your hotel. From the airport you can take a taxi to downtown Helsinki and it runs between $25 - $30. There is also a Finnair Shuttle Bus for $6 and a regular Bus for $4.

Another great way to get around the city is the Metro. It is comfortable to ride and it runs until 11:30pm. A single ticket costs $2. You can also purchase a 10 trip ticket pass for $15. There is also a Helsinki card that is good for unlimited travel on all the Public Transportation Systems in the area. You can purchase them in three different ways. For one card it costs $18, for two cards it is $25 and for three cards it is $30. You can purchase the cards at your hotel or at the Helsinki Tourist office. The area also has busses and trams that are comfortable and safe. There are also ferries available for water travel. Rental cars are also available and we recommend that you book them from the airport location.
